Today is... World Read-Aloud Day!
Why would we need to celebrate something that everyone can do, right? Well, we are lucky enough to be able to read (well!), to have a library full of books (Thanks Miss Stacia!) and our parents probably read to us when we were younger.
Not everyone in the world is so lucky. Many people cannot read or write, and they don't have access to education or books.
Everyone has the right to read. Today is a day to celebrate that.
